Click on Profile, then Avatar, and then “Link to an off-site avatar” will have an empty field next to it. Just put the link of your gif there. You’re welcome.

On the top of the forum, you will click “Profile”, then “Avatar”, and then you will have upload options. If you want a GIF as a pic, make sure to use the “link to an off-site avatar” option.
