Head of Household Challenge #14 - Spiral

Part 1


You start walking around the room. You have a chain around your ankle so you can only go so far. The lights finally turn on & you see a map on the wall, it's a floor plan of some sort & you see red buttons on it. You figure out that you have to push these buttons, but now you have to figure out which ones, how many & in what order.





Please list the names of the buttons you wish you press & in what order. Post all of the ones you are pushing & the order in the same post since you only get 5 guesses.

Part 2


The part of the wall with the map flips over to reveal a shelf with a music box playing. The song is a familiar tune to you. At first you just listen, then you start to hum along.





You start touching the box, you notice that you can pick it up & move it. You notice under the box 2 small lock combination. Both are only 2 digits long. The first combination only has 0 as the first number & the second combination only has 1 for the first number. The second number of both combination goes from 0-9.

ANSWER


Yes the lyric was "The Day The Music Died" which was your clue to guess it was a reference to the 2 days we did not post songs for Rise & Shine (not much was a mistake this season)

So the codes we were looking for were 09 for Day 9 & 18 for Day 18, the 2 days without Rise & Shine songs once they started.

Part 3


The bottom of the music box opens up & reveals a key. You hurry up to try it in the lock that chains you to the wall. It works, you're free to move around more freely now. You noticed an envelope in the middle of the floor, you can finally reach it.

You open it up & it reveals a really weird looking picture of someone. You know you've seen this person around here before, but it was just a glimpse, you were not even sure if you were seeing things, it was just so random, but here they are again.





You move around the room, you see something in the rusty, dirty bathtub. It's a laptop. You hurry up & turn it on. Once on, you realize you need a password.



ANSWER


We were looking for the person in the distorted image. The clue was bringing you back to the first POV challenge where I randomly added Angela Rummans's Loofah picture in the challenge picture. This means the answer was Angela Rummans (we did also accept AngelaRummans)

Part 4

A video plays of Tyler & Michelle. You see just how badly the lies & deceits in games have affected them over time & how they became to do what they did. The pressure to win, the pressure to be the best, it was just too much.

You can't seem to get online from this laptop & there's nothing else on there to look at or use. You throw it back into the tub, feeling restless. Is this the end? Are you supposed to solve the door combination now?

The lights start to flicker. You get up from sitting on the bathtub ledge. You walk over to the toilet, you lift the lid up, nothing, you lift the back, nothing. You get down on the ground to look behind it. You feel something behind it, like a safe, but you need the combination. The lights go off, it's dark.

ANSWER


If you highlight the post (references to dark like in the HOH Billy hosted) you can see sequences of numbers. If you actually look at all of them individually, you notice that 2186 is wrong, it should be 2187, so the answer for part 4 was 2186 because all the other numbers in all the sequences are correct.

Part 5


After correctly figuring out the code, the lights turn back on. You notice that a panel has been lowered from the ceiling with a touch screen.





On the screen is a picture of all the Houseguests from this game. You’ve seen this picture before, but you remember it looking slightly different. Just how many differences are there though? You assume that’s your next task, to point out all the differences.

Final Decision


I can't really decide if I just made this too hard or what, but I guess I need to retire trying to make escape rooms. I'm sorry for the level of difficulty, that's why we helped as much as we could, gave extra guesses & extended the challenge by an hour. At last, no one finished in time, not even Nina or Christine (we had talked about a plan B if they did win) so we have to act, even though we did think someone would finish this in time & didn't actually think everyone was going on the block.


This is how the round will go. All 6 of you are nominated. There will be a Power of Veto competition tomorrow. The winner of that challenge will win a Revamped Coup d'Etat. This means they will be able to save 2 Houseguests (they count as 1), but they cannot name a replacement nomination since everyone will already be nominated. Everyone will vote & the POV holder will break any tie.


As for the UberEats meal, I don't want to be cheap so I will give it to the Houseguest that got the furthest the soonest & that is
